Fans got crazy and of course, the team got carried away. The players organised a huge party and celebrated till the sun went up in the morning. Everybody was enjoying the hype and nobody knew what is coming our way. The next week we were facing SP Sparta, the team who lost their their first fixture but for sure, the were ready to bring their first points home, especially from a game at their home stadium.

23 minutes into the game, players of Celtic Brno experienced a cold shower and a wake-up call. SP Sparta scored a beauty from the left side and we were losing 1:0.  It didn’t help because 3 minutes later, Celtic Brno went under the shower again. And this time, the water was ice cold. Jos0 Carlos Mulero of SP Sparta made it look really easy and showed us how to score a goal. 2:0. This moment pretty much set the picture of the whole match. We weren’t able to pick up and although we managed to create chances, we were pulling the shorter string the whole time. In 36th minute, Vladimír Petýrek scored a contact goal, 2:1. SP Sparta again showed how to direct a game and scored their 3rd goal in 42nd minute of the first half. It looked like we will go to the dressing room 2 goals shorter, but then in 43rd minute Hans-Toni Hauser-Larcher got lucky and corrected the score to 3:2. The second half was nothing but a huge disappointment. Sad hero of this fixture was Petýrek, who was announced as a best player of Celtic Brno, but managed to throw away three 100% goal chances. On the other side, SP Sparta toughed us a lesson about scoring. Two chances and two goals.

5:2 looks like really unfair score, but let’s be honest, Celtic Brno deserved to lose this time. They were too sure of their place, too certain that this league will be a walk in the park. This is a real return from the heights of your own ego back to mother Earth. We could see, during Monday’s practice, how players are focused and giving their best out there on the field. We believe they won’t underestimate the situation ever again and they will strive for perfection.

Good luck to Celtic in the next fixture, because they might as well need it. We will face TJe to s námi bídné, a team who is no rookie in the IV. division. Who do you think will win?

From a total of 20 matches, CBJ won 1 match, early in the season over team Hoscakal SK. Another 3 matches ended a tie, which leave horrible 16 matches (out of which 5 were home matches) loss. With total score 63:22 against CBJ. The team is now facing a 16 matches long series without a win. The season has ended and with a start of a new one there have to be some changes done. First step is a change of a coaching staff. The management of the team sacked the old coach and made a surprising, but pleasing and promising move. The new coach of Celtic Brno Juniors will be Adrián Justich! The member of Hall of Fame of Celtic Brno, former player and coach of the A-team. These are very exciting news for all Celtic fans. Manager Benisippo went to Banská Bystrica, home town of Adrián Justich, where he spent his retirement days. They sat over a bottle of wine and talked about the current situation of the team and about Adrián‘s life and plans. From wine they switched to Borovička and talked about details of the contract and expectations. And today, Adrián is back in Brno, getting to know the current CBJ team. Miroslav Kremlička, the current striker of the A-team, will be his assistant, as his field time will be reducing, because of the new acquisitions in the attack line.

So who are those youngsters, who suppose to take a stand and rise and shine? Is there any future for this team? Will there be some stars? Let’s have a closer look on that.

For the ranking of our prospects, we use a model often used in sports:

Traditional Realistic Potential Rating (1-10) (a player’s realistic potential ability):

10. Generational Talent – a player for the ages, one who can do things with a football that no other player would even contemplate doing. Very, very few players will be deserving of this rating, probably one per decade.
9. Elite Talent – possesses the potential for greatness, a perennial All-Star throughout his career.
8. A-team Forward/ No. 2 Midfielder or Defenseman / No. 1 Goaltender – players with definite skill that might be just a cut below elite status, but still possessing All-Star potential.
7. B-team Forward/ No. 3-4 Midfielder or Defenseman / Journeyman No. 1 Goaltender – players not quite good enough to play on the top lineup on a regular basis, but still possessing enough talent to contribute offensively, defend with some authority, or competently play the goaltender’s position for long stretches.
6. Third-Line Forward/ No. 5-6 Midfielder or Defenseman / Backup Goaltender – generally speaking, players whose game is defensively-oriented, or whose abilities aren’t quite good enough to land full-time duty on the A or B-team.
5. Fourth-Line Forward / No. 7 Midfielder or Defenseman / Depth goaltender – players for minor leagues, not suitable for A or B-teams, unless there is a injury.

Realistic Probability Rating (A-F) (the player’s realistic chances of achieving their potential):

A – All but guaranteed to reach potential
B – Should reach potential, could drop 1 rating
C – May reach potential, could drop 2 ratings
D – Unlikely to reach potential, could drop 3 ratings
F – A player possessing little potential who has a mountain to climb just to reach the outermost boundary of that potential.

The current stars:

Viktor Povýšil – 8.0 B

This 16 year old defenseman has 31 days to his transfer. At this point, it is a sure thing Viktor will make it to the Celtic Brno‘s squad. He is already an excellent defenseman, who really enjoys powerful style of playing, using his great force and strength. He is a pure cleaner in front of the goal, if he worked on his passing and maybe playmaking skills, he could be a national team material. For now it seems he reached his limits and only after his transfer, he could work on this goal. If it’s gonna be in the jersey of Celtic Brno or some other team, we will find out soon enough. Viktor is our top prospect now, we hope he will make some impact in CBJ and move smoothly to senior category.

The promising leaders of CBJ:

Ladislav Bolf – 7.5 C

Ladislav is one of those players, who we put a lot of trust, when we talk about the results of CBJ. Ladislav is a very quick player, who can grow up to passable defending and playmaking. He will be given much bigger role from now on and as soon as Viktor Povýšil will be gone, he should be the one directing the back line of CBJ.

Ivan Hamerský – 8.0 C

Ivan could reach solid playmaking, but he has a lot of work in front of him. His potential in scoring and his unpredictable plays could make him a big candidate for a Celtic permanent A-team squad member, in this case, he would have to really work hard on his passing and playmaking. The potential is there, we will see how this kid will deal with it. He is improving every game, but now is his time to step up and become a leader he should be for CBJ. The coaches will definitely expect him to score some goals and bring CBJ to some wins.

Alois Štorek – 8.0 C

Another player in CBJ, who can come up with pretty unpredictable plays. With his possible solid passing he should be able to make the unpredictable plays in the favour of our team. Together with Ivan, he sould make a creative midfield and supply our attack with great passes and make sure our possession of ball brings us some chances. For sure he is another adept for making it into the A-team, since he is fitting the strategy.

The Future:

Jaroslav Rožnovský – 9.0 C

Now here is a player who can lead CBJ for some time. The scouts said he could be excellent wing, and there is a promising space in playmaking. If everything will go smooth and Jaroslav will prove himself in CBJ, he will be for sure a huge part of Celtic Brno some day. The only thing we can regret is that he already is reaching his 17 years of age, but still, with good progress, he might be very valuable graduate of our academy. Let’s hope he will show some special abilities as well.

Blahoslav Plesl – 7.0 B

He might not look like a typical star, but Blahoslav might grow into very universal player. With passable defending, inadequate playmaking and scoring, with one more high (5 or higher) ability, he might play important role in the CBJ team. For sure this very technical player will bring depth into the team and with some luck, he might make it into the seniors, and there, who knows, if he will be good enough to stay in Celtic or we will trade him to gain some experience and skill somewhere else.

Let me summarise the year of the season 35, which team Celtic Brno spent in league V.49 of Czech republic.

And what a year that was!Exciting! Record breaking! Fan pleasing! Successful and satisfactory.

The season started with simple goals:

1. Promote to IV.division.

2. Reach 6th round of Czech Cup.

The season started with a goalie search. As much as the organisation appreciated Štefan Kocprd, number one goalkeeper till date, we knew, if we want to aim for the highest positions in our league, we have to, considering also our competitors and their improvement of the goalkeeper position, find somebody who can go out there every game and bring home at least 7 star  performance. We managed to find Alexander Nikerov, young russian star who was playing in Poland at that moment. Celtic pulled off the record 165 000 000 transfer, making Nikerov our most expensive acquisition ever. This transfer showed to be as one of the key factors in the results of the season. But we will get to that. Nikerov showed his skills and for his first season in the green-white jersey, he showed remarkable stats. Also thanks to him, Celtic received only 7 goals in 13 games, which would make Celtic the team with the best defense in the league. Unfortunately, we played cool the first game against our biggest contestant for the league title. He overtook the game and scored 7 goals, which in total cost us the title for the best defense of the league. Nevertheless, it didn’t make big impact on the final position in the table.

Here are the stats of the new keeper of our sanctuary:

Alexander Nikerov

As I mentioned, the season started with a huge loss, 7:0 over Los Tucnakos, the title defender and the biggest adept for the title in the season 35 as well. We more less planned to Play It Cool, and focus more on upcoming games. With hopes we won’t lose any other games and that we will beat Los Tucnakos during the last round of the season.

In 4th round of the Cup we received quite strong opponent and we thought this might be our early exit from the Cup, considering the fact we were assigned as away team. Since our goal wasn’t “Reach 4th round of the Cup.”, we had to pull everything together and come strong to the game. Luckily, after the even tight game, we went home with satisfying result 0:1, where Štefan Kocprd showed we can still rely on him in tough situations and he will be here for us even if newcomer Alexander Nikerov will be our number 1 goalie.

From then on, everything went as expected, we were winning in league, 5th round of the Cup was surprisingly a piece of cake and we peacefully reached our goal. 6th round of the Cup was different story. We were suppose to face an opponent, who was showing a lot of experience and skills. We couldn’t afford to underestimate the game and we prepared for it well. As a result, we ended up with one of the highest (possibly the highest) ratings of the team performance. After such performance, it would be foolish to be mad at the players, but there was no reason to be. As a cherry on the top, we won the game 2:1, and it was of course our own Marek Demeter, who scored the difference goal, bringing home the win. With overwhelming feelings of success, I made a terrible mistake, not giving the instructions to the team how the team play will look like in the 7th round of the Cup, which resulted in a loss. Anyways, 7th round is our all time longest run in the Cup and we super-passed our goal. Nothing but pure happiness.

The next crucial moment in the season came to us in the 11th week, when we faced a very strong opponent, Baník Ostrava 2007. It was away game, one tough competition. We wanted to grab the win, so we came prepared. Bad luck, we only were able to get one point out of this game, we still believe the result 1:1 is not really saying how the game picture really was. We were falling behind Los Tucnakos and we started to calculate what should we do to win the league. The fortune smiled upon us in the 13th week, when 1.fc lucinka managed to steal 2 points from Los Tucnakos, with a stunning tie 1:1 at Los Tucnakos home game. They did us a huge favour, leaving our faith completely in our hands. At that moment, we happened to be one point behind Los Tucnakos, playing our last game of the season at home, against them.

We were building up to this moment, PICing every possible game. We were on top and pretty confident of our win. However,we knew Los Tucnakos wanted to win really bad. I won’t use many words, see for yourself, how the game went here. With amazing rating we defeated our opponent and ensured a trophy and a direct promotion of our team.

As a preparation for the next season, we managed to pulled a masterpiece of transfers. We are bringing home Vladimír Petýrek, a graduate of our Youth Academy. He was only 17 years old when we sent him to the world and now he is coming back, bringing us speed and firepower we will so need in the 4th division. Over the 5 seasons in team Csepelion, he grew into an elite striker, bringing strenght to the striking line of the team, however he managed to score only 13 goals over the 5 seasons. We hope the change of the enviroment and cooperation with an elite striker Matija Kutlašič will improve Petýrek‘s scoring ratio. We are really happy that another player from our academy will find his spot in the A-team.

We asked Vladimír Petýrek about his feelings right after the transter:

I’m so excited to be back home. I know I wasn’t fitting Celtic’s training strategy and they wanted me to grow my skills, that’s why they traded me. But now it’s my time, I never lost contact with the team and now, when era of living legends of the team, such as Kremlička and Marek Demeter, my idol, is slowly ending, it’s the right moment for me to come back and bring the A-game. I’m really excited to be back, especially when the team promoted to IV. division. It’s my job to make sure Celtic will not stay here for long and we will go higher.

The last success of this season is the very last game of it. We decided to play (not so) friendly match against my friend and roommate, team FC Lost Heaven. We beat those suckers 5:2, bringing me endless joy.

Winners of V.49 – season 35

Martin Fuxa is a true legend of Celtic Brno. Today, on 24th of August, he is officialy ending his active career. Together with Marek Demeter and Miroslav Kremlička they formed fearfull trio, who devasted many opponents. All together, they scored exactly 256 goals till this day. The Legion of Doom as many of their fans called them, is counting their days in the clob from the very same day Celtic Brno was created. Yes, Martin Fuxa served to the club for 9 seasons and he accomplished many during that time. Helping the team to get from the 7th division to the 5th is for sure the most memorable thing. His best season was for sure the season 27, in which he managed to score 10 golas in 11 league games and the season total is 14 games and 11 goals. Martin also managed to score 3 hattricks, one on 19. 6. 2010 during league match against team Project Mercenary, which Celtic won 0:9. The second was accomplished during game against FC Stan Kosoř on 16. 10. 2010, which Celtic won 7:0. The last hattrick was a real masterpiece, because Celtic won that game against AC STRUP 5:2 and Martin basically won the game on his own, scoring first three goals of Celtic Brno.

Martin connected his whole sports career with Celtic Brno and he said that:

I could never imagine myself changing an uniform. Green and white are the most suitable colours for me and I am thankful for every minute in Celtic Brno‘s jersey. The club gave the best conditions to show the best aspects of my game. Those were the best years of my life and I wish the boys more trophies and accomplishments to come!

Martin is also joining the staff of Celtic Brno, he will provide the commentary for the broadcasting of all Celtic Brno games.

Durk van der Hoff lets undisputable mark in the history of Celtic Brno. He joined the club in season 30, immideatelly became a pillar in the defense and helped the team to finish 4th in the league. In the next season, he was promoted into the coach’s position and his experience and leadership helped Celtic to reach second, third and finally first place in the league VI.391. He was one of the key pieces in the puzzle, which helped the club to move after long 6 seasons to 5th division.

Durk’s career is very fruitful, he went through 8 clubs:

His best recorded game was 5:2 win of Celtic over Strup.

For now, Durk wants to enjoy some gardening at home and watch football as a spectator. He also said that it’s possible he will return to Celtic to some management position, or maybe as a scout. No matter what, he will be remembered, as his jersey is hanging on the wall in the Hall of fame.

Now it is our pleasure to announce the new coach of Celtic Brno!

From 31st of July 2012 till the end of the season the new coach will be Carsten Martinek! The experienced defenseman decided to put into praxis his coaching skills he gained during several trainer courses. Celtic Brno agreed on a contract till the end of the season, with possible extension. He will recieve coach salary with bonuses for every played game, since he is still very valuable asset for the team on the field.

His goal for the season is to finish the league in the safe position (top 4) and prepare the team for the rise in the next season.

Good luck Carsten and Celtic Brno!

This is already Marek’s 4th throphy for the best scorer, he got his first one in league VII.596, with 21 goals in 11 games, the other three trophies in league VI.391.

Even for his age, Marek is still a living proof that he doesn’t belong to the retirement house. He is obviously the best scorer of Celtic Brno in the franchise history, with 115 goals in 97 league matches, 11 goals in 19 friendly matches and 11 goals in 11 cup matches. The total is 127 games and impressive 137 goals to this day.

Marek already started the new season in a big style, scoring two goals in his first appearance in the fifth league.

We hope Marek will stay healthy as long as possible and will score much more goals for Celtic!

In the time of announcement, Adrián was 34 years and 72 days old. He will celebrate his next birthday on 22. 5. 2012.

Adrián Justich joined the club on 17. 6. 2010 for 1 680 000 CZK. His biggest advantage was his speed, he always was one of the fastest players on the pitch and he could prepare a lot of chances due to his ability. During 7 seasons in Celtic Brno jersey, he managed to play in 23 games and score 14 goals. His biggest role in the team came on 15. 11. 2010, when he was elected as a new trainer of Celtic. During 4 seasons on coach’s bench, he improved the best ranking of Celtic from 5th position in the league to 4th, during his last, unfinished season, he managed to build a base for 2nd place in the league, which is so far the best result.

Let’s talk about each team:

Horecká sokolka

The winner of the league went through some rough changes during the midseason. 10 sold players in just one week says it all. Sokolka decided to base their future  on young players and train them to achieve success. This might be a long shot and Sokolka might not be able to defend their position of a league champion. With a combination of youth (9 players under 20 and 2 just over 20) and experience (10 players over 30) this team might bring some interesting mix and performance.

ZDŠ ZHULÍN

This team is hard to read and even with the change of training strategy they managed to get to the third place last season. They like to play with the roster which shows a lot of creativity. They seem to prepare very well for each game with a deep analysis of their opponents’ strategies. As usual, they are keeping the trades in balance and they managed to buy one interesting player, very talented young guy with more than 13 000 TSI. A very young team, with only 22,38 years of age in average might be one of the candidates for this year’s title.

AC Zur Přerov

More less the very same team will try to finally get some spotlight this season. Very ambitious team might have the strongest midfield in the league which might be the key aspect of a success. The weakness of this team could be deep in the field. Stopper with average mark of three stars and a keeper of the same rank might break this team’s neck. This is our personal black horse of the league.

Škoda Auto – Autostyl

A balanced team have always the highest expectations and always wants to play for the win. With only a 15 players and only a few players ranked over 5 stars Autostyl might stay out of the top 4 again.

Elite

This team totally improved their performance and they are slowly becoming a equal competitor. Focusing on purchasing older players, with no sales seems like a short-sighted strategy which can bring some fast results, but in a long-term perspective, Elite will not be able to compete with the best in our league. This year, they will again fight for survival.

FC Sokol Ostrava

These guys are totally not ready for this league and will be back in VII. in no time. They should enjoy their time in higher league and then come back and prepare much much better for this level. We can only wish them some loyal and patient fans.

Last but not least. This young team is very ambitious and they just might have some reasons. With a superb keeper, they might be a very tough to beat. The acquisition of the keeper right before the season start could be a key aspect which can give the team just the right momentum.

Celtic Brno

The team is growing stronger every week and we only hope for the best. We’d like to acquire the title but there is too much of the competition. Let’s hope for the best results and maybe we will be able to celebrate at the end.

What do you think?

Marek‘s average mark from the games is 6,2. His best mark was 6,5 and the lowest was 5,0. He showed great skills and abilities over the season and we believe he fully deserves such acknowledgement. We also got a statement from Marek:

I’m very happy I once again recieved such trophy, but I must say, this one goes to the whole team, because it’s my teammates who helped me to achieve this. Without their passes and great plays I would’t be able to score this many goals. But you know, I’d rather see a trophy for the winner of the league in our hands. Next season, I would change the trophies. To collect them both, that would be just amazing.

This is third trophy of a kind in his career and a second consequent in this league. We think Marek is on top of his game and he will be able to pull off a hattrick. Do you?
