Anchors

Hi,
I have a blog question (HTML)

At the top of my page I have a list eg…

Tom
Dick
Harry

I would like link from the word Tom to a text, about Tom, lower on that page. With Dick and Harry links to Dick and Harry.

I think it is called anchor, or something like that.

Can anybody help me with my Problem??????

Hi, I think I have a solution to the problem for you. If you enter the “text”-tab of the text editor window while editing your page, you are able to add an anchor by adding the <a> tag to the text, for example by entering:

<a name=”Tom”></a>

This will be the position the text link will direct the reader to when the reader presses this(only the text “here” will be visible when it’s viewed from the reader’s perspective):

Click <a href=”#Tom”>here</a> to read about Tom.

You will be able to remove the text around the <a> tag here, for example like this(again, only the text “Tom” will be visible when it’s viewed from the reader’s perspective):

<a href=”#Tom”>Tom</a>

I’m not sure how familiar you are with HTML, please don’t hesitate to ask for further help, we have a lot of talented people with tons of CSS and HTML knowledge around here :)
