HTUM Awards: FC Rünenberg (Switzerland) voted Blog of the Season!

The end of each season is always a time of reflection – looking back at how one’s team performed and looking forward to the challenges of next season. The end of each season in the HTUM federation (Hattrick United Managers) is also the time for the traditional award ceremonies.

Already for the third year in a row, the fifty odd members of the HTUM federation had these past few weeks the opportunity to nominate and vote for a variety of trophies, including best player per position, youth academy players (U17) and young talents (U19) and best manager. A detailed coverage of all awards was provided by the HUP news site of the federation.

The main purpose of the HTUM fed is to assemble active and creative bloggers from around the world in order to exchange ideas, inspire and get inspired and create entertaining stories and visually interesting and informative blogs. The federation also wishes to extend a helping hand to managers who would like to start with a blog on HTU and/or who are in need of some help with taking their blogs to the next level. As the focal point of the federation centres upon HTU, it can come as no surprise that the award for Best Blog of the Season is also the most prestigious to awarded.

This season the voting really went down to the wire, with three HTU-blogs truly standing out. While second place was shared by the brilliant blogs of FC X-Team of Xuturo (Romania) and Vi Flæsker Jer of Cuomos (Denmark), both getting 25% of the vote, this season’s winner with 31.20% of the vote turned out to be the magnificent FC Rünenberg blog, run by Schluurggi of Switzerland.

Some of the comments of members voting for the FC Rünenberg blog included:

- “Said all along this was my favourite, great colour scheme and brilliant ‘re-branding’ of the club with the new Sutter’s Mill, added history and slogan ‘It’s Gold We’re After’. Always well maintained widgets showing the teams progress in various competitions at various levels. Smart and clean graphical additions, like the stadium widget which inspired me to create my own. Nice articles, updated regularly. All these factors give it the edge.” (Leebebbs, Poland)

- “Impressive look, though simple (I guess thats what makes it so good), great posts and active :) ” (Cuomos, Denmark)

- “Nice and clean design alongside great and regularly published posts” (Lupachuk, Finland)

The FC Rünenberg blog most deservedly joins the previous winners of this prestigious award – the blogs of MS Odense (Hojris, Denmark) and Renaissance FC (Leebebbs, Poland).

Many congratulations to Schluurggi for maintaining a simple superb blog!
