Wednesday was a day full of hopes and dreams, you can probably figure out that a Golden League match was on the schedule. The opponent of the day was Krosnianka Karpaty Krosno or “KKK” as they are commonly called. Those teams had played against each other earlier in the history and that match ended in a dramatic 4-0 win for KKK. Of course this meant that Blankaholm were looking for revenge. And the game was goal-less for a long time. Not until the 43rd minute the dead-lock was lifted. The goal was to KKK’s advantage, and after that everything was. The second goal came short after, and the third one as well. The loss was bad enough by itself but there was another annoying thing with the match. Patric Hagberg, a 17 year old Blankaholm talent, got injured for the second time this season. Here’s Kluddens comment about the injury: “Patric is a great prospect and has only been with the team for 2 months. Too bad that 3 of his weeks here have been spent at the Team Hospital. Now he has one week with injuries ahead of him but later on I hope that we will be able to see his talent on the field.” However, some fans have already started to give him mean nicknames referring to his often recurring injuries. One of the most common nicknames is “The Mummy”.
A broken day

Thank you for hospitality and for the game. I’m sorry for Patric – believe me, it was an accident! I’m glad he’s getting better – today he’s just a half-mummy
I’m sure he will show his skills and potential in next GL encounters.
Thanks for sparing his life at least
I have found a song that fits the situation pretty good though…
