”We showed our mental strength today – commented coach Leonard Pavelloosing the lead and then lagging behind. We didn’t give-up and made a well deserved comeback to win the game. Leading the league? Yes we are now the leaders of the league but that doesn’t mean anything because nothing has been won yet. We are not even halfway through the season and we also have a tricky cup fixture coming up and its a must win match for us. So we have to keep our concentration and not to look at the table too much. We should rather look at our next opponents for weaknesses”

The coach seems to have got the players right under control because it is indeed a tough week coming up for Langer House as they travel to Kolkata for the fifth round of  Indian Cup against BLACK ALLIANCE-’endecy of century’ on Wednesday.

”It was a great match – commented coach Leonard PavelBoth the teams wanted to send their opponents home disappointed but in the end both goes with a point in hand. We can take many positives from today’s performance. We can say we were a little unlucky and could have done better because we conceded so late but we lead for 84 minutes. That’s positive”

Captain Tamonash Kapoor seemed a little disappointed with the result and has asked his team-mates to already focus on the next fixtures and get back to winning form. ”I think everyone thought the game was in the bag and started to take it lightly. I feared that would happen and it happened as we allowed Menşur to equalize. Conceded a late goal always gives you a feeling of emptiness and when you don’t win. That’s always a bad feeling. We should now concentrate back in the Cup fixture and stay on track”

Langer House will travel to Kerala for the third round fixture of the Indian Cup against LIGHTNING TRICHUR FC.

HTUM Striker of the Season: Amish Gangawane

Langer House striker Amish Gangawane has been voted as the best striker of Federation by the members of the HTU Managers federation. The player showed his delight through a TV show on a local channel and coach Leonard Pavel took the opportunity to congratulate and motivate the strikers further.

”I am delighted with this award and really gives me a lot of motivation before the start of the season. I struggled in the I-League last season but I think my performances in the friendly tournaments like Golden League and particularly  HTUM Challenge Trophy convinced many HTU Manager’s members and I would like to thank all of them who voted for me. I hope I can get more goals in competitive matches and score many important goals for Langer House”, commented the Karnataka born striker on a TV channel showing a 15 minute clip of Langer House moving towards their new objectives.

In the same show is an interview of coach Leonard Pavel in his office and brimming with confidence in front of the camera. ”Congratulations to Amish. He is a fantastic striker with incredible technical ability. I believe this is the season where he will show his true worth. He is a much improved player than he was at the start of last season.”

The coach then went on to motivate other Zabardust strikers especially youngster Venkat Variar ”I am lucky to have wide variety of strikers at my disposal. the power of Aakaar Kazmi, the creativity of Nandini, the work-rate Bhupathi, They are all important part of my plans. Variar on the other hand is just 21 years old and he looks like he’s been with us for ages. Statistics shows his goal scoring ability whenever called upon. He is immensely talented but I think I want to see more improvement from him and I want him to do it now”

Preparations start for serie II

Today morning the club President Azeem, Coach Leonard Pavel and Director Chellappa Pralad held a press conference at Wittelsbacher Klasse announcing their views on their new league and thanking their loyal fans for the support during this difficult time ”We know that the fans are disappointed with the relegation. We are as much sad and disappointed with how the season panned out and caused the relegation but we should not loose hope. We are Zabardusts and we don’t give up. We played every match last season to win and we did have big wins but unfortunately we also had to suffer big defeats. We the board of Langer House were prepared for everything that can happen and thus we had a plan prepared for life at serie II”

The  President continues by commenting some of the positive aspects of last season ”Other parts of our season showed glimpses of promise. We participated in the HTUM Challenge Trophy final this season and we were quite competitive but yet had to settle for runners-up to Krosnianka Karpaty Krosno and then we lost to them again in Golden League semi-final. So there is plenty of promise shown by the players and I think with a little experience we can attain I-League status once again”

It was then announced that some of the players at the club had to leave in an effort to revamp the squad and Director Pralad commented ”unfortunately due to this relegation we had to manage our financial stability first and thus some of the players will leave soon as an agreement has been met with some clubs. Joakim Fyhrlund, Gandolf Besenkamp, Hmed Jenayah and Priteesh Shrivastava will leave the club. As promised we have immediately recruited the services of  Swiss midfielder Roli Wetterwald

The coach spoke of his disappointment at the departures but has put faith in the club. ”Joakim, Kamp and Hmed were important players who played important role in the squad and Priteesh is a promising youngeter but it has to be understood the position of the club and the future. I am delighted with the arrival of Roli Wetterwald and I am sure he will prove to be a success. I have been promised more recruitment’s this season who will arrive as per the requirement of the squad”

The coach then took the opportunity to comment on the new opponents of Langer House. ”Certainly the league looks quite strong and tight. The winners of last season’s Indian Cup Bangalore Tigers are the bright spot of this serie and understandably start as the favorites after their heroics in the cup last season. BLUE XI, Bishop Cotton Boys were quite competitive last season in this serie and Bunte Kori are quite well known. Its a competitive league and I think we have a difficult task this season”

Attention towards Krosnianka Karpaty Krosno

Today afternoon’s 3-1 defeat to Estrella Negra Bengaluru all but ended the Zabardusts hopes of survival in the prestigious I-League. Coach Leonard Pavel wasted no time in turning attention towards tomorrow’s HTUM Challenge Trophy final against Polish side Krosnianka Karpaty Krosno.

”It has been a disappointing season for us.- commented coach Leonard Pavel – We lost important players through injury during crucial stages of the season and that hurt us a lot. We did really well to be fighting so far with all the injuries. We still have a slight chance if we can win next week against Dinamo Shiva who have proved their quality this season and won’t be an easy opponent at all”

The coach wants to end the season on a high note and thus has set his sights on a double friendly titles.Langer House are one of those teams who sees the Golden League and HTUM Challenge Trophy as very prestigious and that can be seen through our participation in both the competitions are very regular. We have participated in every HTUM Challenge Trophy so far and we had shown a lot of promise but usually were left disappointed with the Semi-final being the best we had done”

This season Langer House has gone a step closer to HTUM Challenge Trophy and will participate in the final against Krosnianka Karpaty Krosno but is aware that getting the trophy to Wittelsbacher Klasse would require a perfect performance. ”After waiting for so long we can finally participate in the final and we don’t want to let this chance slip through. KKK has shown their class this season and their name itself can strike fear into the opponent. We don’t fear but we know we need to be at our best if we are to win this match. I am confident my boys will be a tricky opponent for KKK”

Immediately after the HTUM Challenge trophy (Season 7) final Langer House will be back in Golden League action against  Romanian side FC X-Team at Ecaterina Teodoroiu on Wednesday 10.00 HT time.

Revenge of the Noobs 3 – 1 Langer House

Late goals by Revenge of the Noobs fell Langer House to a disappointing 3-1 defeat away to RoN. A closely fought match showcasing good football was also involved some ugly challenges which left two Zabardusts needing treatment and lengthy time on the medical bench. The coach though refused to blame the players for the defeat rather blaming it on poor refereeing.

“It was a good match which I didn’t enjoy as there were some ugly incidents as well – commented coach Leonard Pavel after the final whistle- I made big mistakes this match with the orders in the second half which crippled us more than the injuries but still I am struggling to convince myself why Franquelim Resendes was not sent off for that challenge? It was a horrible horrible challenge which leaves Ibarra out for weeks and the injury to Vlasenko was another bad tackle where the referee didn’t even blow his whistle. The performance of the lads was absolutely brilliant and goals we conceded were unfortunate”

Coach then answered a few questions regarding Claudio Piazzo‘s situation in the team. “Claudio is in my plans and as I am also focusing on the Indian Cup, we need able players to compete in the cup. I can’t play all strikers in one game. There are only eleven players allowed. Is Claudio to depart? Its not in my hand”
