Hello guys!
I’m Efraín Sepúlveda and I’ll be the hoster of this special show produced in partnership with the GL-TV. For our first episode we’ll talk about the Egyptian “Pharaoh”, Ali Haj-Najjar.

Born in a small nomad village in the middle of the Sahara’s desert the young Ali Haj-Najjar always dreamed to be an Egyptologist, however his life plans changed when Zulfakar Abdul invited him to play in the Blazing Knights youth academy.
“His skills with the ball were amazing”, said Mr. Abdul in an interview.
“I didn’t want to be a professional player, but I accepted Zulfakar’s invite ’cause I was from a very poor family and he said that if I was accepted in the club I would be able to give my family a better life and even to study to be an Egyptologist in the free time”, told us Najjar
“He thought ‘oh, that’s ok, I’ll play for them, win some money and then enter in the university and become a famous Egyptologist’”, said Ali’s mom
He then started to play for Blazing Knights thinking that it would be just for a while, what he wasn’t counting on was that he was going to fall in love with football and forget his old dream.
“When I started to play I realised that football was what I really wanted to do.”, said Najjar
At that stage he was at the age of 17 and didn’t think twice when was invited to play in Blazing Knights professional team.
From that on every thing just got better for Najjar, after one game as a professional he was hired by the Italian PANASIAO where he played twice before being called for the Egyptian U-20 National Team. Although the U-20 call made Najjar very happy, the PANASIAO president didn’t like it and put him in the Transfer Market, what made him very angry and sad.
“In a certain way it was the best thing for him, otherwise he would never been hired by Mejores”, said mommy Najjar
Seeing a very good opportunity to hire an international star, the Mejores president immediately bought him by a fee of R$2.140.000,00 just 4 days after his first U-20 game. With a very friendly personality Najjar soon became loved by him teammates and by the fans.
“He was and still is a very nice and simple guy and that what makes us like him so much”, said Silvano Nogueira
Until he completed 21yo, he played 13 games Egypt U-20 NT. At the age of 22 he had his first game for Egypt main national team. He’s still playing for Mejores where he’s considered one of the club legends with 166 games played and 44 goals scored.
“This club is like my second home”, said Najjar, before completing, “and I’ll stay here forever.”

That’s a beautiful story, isn’t it? Sad that this is the end of today’s show. See you soon, with a new story about one of the Mejores Legends
"Founded in 2008, Mejores, as the club is called by the fans, is a Brazilian club located in Rio de Janeiro. With a squad full of stars, the club's future promises to be as bright as it's past."

"The Londoner Tricolor is an English team based in London. The team was founded in 2013 with the main goal of reaching the English Premier League with a Home Grown squad."

Great story – Najjar should’ve been a part of The Pahraoh Cup!
I don’t think so. I heard the competition was in his tribute
The Pharaoh’s Cup organisation would be honoured to have the ‘Pharaoh’ come and play in one of the next editions of the tournament!
And the ‘Pharaoh’ would love to.
Gran historia! Una leyenda “El Faraón”! Saludos desde Argentina, muy buen blog.
Gracias.
