Jesús is back

MS Odense is getting ready to face a familiar opponent tomorrow. Stadium Langestrand in Aalborg is the home ground of Team Traxx and the two teams will face each other for the 5th time in history and with Odense taking the wins in all the previous meetings, the guests must be the favorites.

“We can’t take it easy because they really what to win this game after a close encounter, and loss, against Tante-Holdet in the opening bout. We must continue to do what we do the best and show them that we are the top dogs of the league and if they want to be a top team they have to take us down. We come into this match with a lot of trust in our self and we showed great strength last week and we will do it again tomorrow”.

– MS Odense Coach Yannis Kotakis

Jesús has only played 41 minutes in the last 8 games because of back to back injuries against FC Bolhede and the Golden League team VFJ.

MS Odense had little trouble reaching the 3. round in The Danish Cup today. Coach Yannis Kostakis chose to give a few players time to recuperate and played 90 minutes today. The coach was confident of victory and also gave debut to the former U19 player Nicki Nørregaard only few hours before the young player leaves the club.

“I chose to give Kim, Peter and Toke some time to recover after some tough weeks with a qualifier, training camp and 2 strong performances last week. It was also my intention to get Yann back on the pitch again, and to give a gesture to Nicki for his outstanding performances on our youth team. Nicki did excellent and the goal speaks for itself. He is a great talent and we wish him the best in the future. I must say it was fun to be out there again and even though my form is far from previous levels, I did my best to help the guys out there today”.

– MS Odense Coach Yannis Kotakis.

MS Odense had Damir Dilberovic back in the goal after a few weeks on the bench due to poor form and some strong performances from Paolo Baggio. The Croatian had a quiet day at the office and his goalkeeping gloves were completely clean after the game. Captain Ambrosio Wiesenthal showed by 2 goals that despite an advanced age he is still dangerous in front of the opponents’ goal. The next opponent in the cup is more on the level of MSO and Rold will be tough to handle playing at home.
