We want to make an impact

24 hour from now, MS Odense will enter Wittelsbacher Klasse stadium in Andhra Pradesh, India. The return to the Golden League and the defining rounds of the first season is something they look forward to in the Odense, both players, staff members and fans.

“We expect this to be a really good match between two equal teams. Langer and Odense has had a fantastic season. Zaberdusts and Ultras should have an enjoyable time watching this encounter tomorrow”.

Said Odense manager Hojris after the Danes arrival in India, just a few hours ago. This encounter between number 8 & 9 in the Golden League table has what it takes to be an instant classic. 2 teams whom has shown the best in the respective clubs history this season. Langer House player Gangawane and Odense captain Wiesenthal has been the best for each team in the first season of GL and both teams has the players to score the goals in Kazmi and Papon.

“To play in the Golden League is something special and i hope to do well in the last few games of this season and that i will be back for the second season too. Let’s se how long my legs can continue to keep playing on a level like this”

Was the words from MS Odense Golden League top-scorer Yann Papon. The 36 years old offensive winger has scored 5 goals in the competition so far, just like Kazmi from Langer House and those two should be worth taking a look at this week too.

Odense can give GL debut to 2 players this week. Santiago Cuell and Jelko Indihar haven’t played in the competition before, and especially the Slovenian striker will be a tough player to keep track on for the hosts defenders. The 25 years old technician has scored 5 goals in the last 2 weeks and he has proved that he can get trough some very tough defenses – Can Langer House stop him?

“I won’t give you the line up, but we have two agendas this week. We want to advance in the table and also try some new stuff that we have been working on at the training ground. Hjorth and Zamarromalo will play and the rest you have to wait and see until the match starts. We take this match very seriously as we would like to end this first Golden League season in style – We want to make an impact”

was the words from Odense coach Yannis Kotakis on a question about the Danish line-up.

The game will be the first GL match for Odense since their 3-2 win at Pirelli Park, on December 21th, 2011. Odense has 6 victories in their 10 GL appearances. Langer House has only 4 of 12 encounters and they haven’t won at home in the last 4 games. The last home win was 3-0 against Renaissance FC, on the same day as Odense won at Pirelli Park – Last week Langer House lost 0-4 at Wittelsbacher Klasse to Warsaw Scousers.

The headline is kind of wild cause this is a post about the kits and logos of MS Odense since the club was founded on march 31th 2008 and just like my manager skills, just faster, the shirts and pins has developed trough the years. The name changing from FC Stjernestøv (FC Stardust) to Stardust Football Club 2008, to AC SunTop and then MS Odense, over 12 seasons, has allowed me to play with logos and kits, with out being very good at it. Anyway it is a fun part of the game for me and it is a important part in my try to make my club and players come alive.

I always enjoyed working with logos and kits. It’s the personality of MS Odense and without it the club wouldn’t be. I have also always thought that if you can make it, make something else – Meaning that when my designing skills can’t make what i want i have to find something totally different and therefore my kits and logos was very colorful so they could stand out from the rest, than they have been nice, great etc. Most of my kits and logos only last a season because of achievements and / or the ideas and designs is coming closer and closer to what i had in mind when the team was founded.

I’m a huge fan of the, real life, top club in Odense – Odense Boldklub and most of the time my colors has been white and blue just like theirs and also fan pictures and stadium pictures i have used on this blog id from the local stadium in Odense, Tre-For Park. My new kits and logo, for season 48, is of course inspired by Odense Boldklub and I’m very satisfeid with the logo witch is close to the real one, but still MS Odense.

I have not reached the White and blue kits, with vertical stripes, of Odense Boldklub and MS Odense yet. They simply haven’t been “good enough” so far, but from the beginning of my time in HT, it has been mostly white/blue or white/green and like in the away kit from season 42 i have been experimenting with red/black or red/yellow in short time periods. I think that the new kit looks fine and the kits are still improving – Maybe i will reach my goal next season. Two things that is very important with mykits is the player name and the commercials. The last thing is hard to make but Tuborg, a danish beer made by Carlsberg, and Volvo has been on the kits earlier. This coming season the spot is taking by HU-Press witch i have a lot of fun making, so it feels only natural. The players who has been on the kits is some of the best homegrown players, bought talents or the best of the best when it comes to players in MS Odense. Own talents like Bogh, Byskov, Ørbæk and Shua ahs had their names on them, Pateulia and of course Paolo Baggio. Also plaers like the former captain and top-scorer Silander, Abu-Aziz and Hymovic has had their names on there and now the time has come to keep remembering Dimosthenis Mpatistas, who is the best midfielder in MS Odense ever, even though Bonsignore get a lot more attention on this blog. The need of good striker is known to everyone and it the name on the new away kit is Jelko Indihar, one of the best strikers in the club ever, and with his skills by far the youngest (only 24).

I haven’t saved much of my logos from the past and it irritates me a bit, but my goal to make something close to Odense Boldklub’s and still show something of MS Odense too is getting nearer and I’m , as said earlier, very satisfied with the new logo. It looks a like, is classic and still has a lot of MS Odense in it, also if not looking at the text. I can’t remember when i used each logo and there has been a lot more of them, but i think it is obvious to see that when you get the programs to make things the standard is totally different.

The taste of division 5

Yesterday JBK.09 was surprisingly strong and i must admit that i never thought that i should say that a draw is a great result and that i was lucky to get a point, but the fact is that it happen yesterday. 1-1 was a great result after some “huge” stats from JBK. Well huge if you look at the games of all the teams in VI.979.

288 in Hatstats against my 221 was a big surprise. Okay i could have made some better stats, but not around 290 at the moment and the fact that JBK pulled it off was a big surprise. Baggio was the savior in the first half when he stopped Trouche from scoring, but after 74 minutes ‘The Next Big Thing’ was without a chance when Agusti canonized the ball into the goal. Fortunately ‘The Special One’ Abu-Aziz was there when he was needed the most and he secured the draw only 4 minutes after Agusti’s goal.

“Aziz did it last season to” said coach Kotakis after the match. “When we need goals the most. He’s the one who makes them and i still think that he is vital for our team, also if we get a chance to play in 5th division next season. Actually this game was a very important lesson to us, cause if we shall have chance to do reasonable in division 5, we have to make results like this today. I told my players only minutes ago that this was the taste of what awaits them if we gain promotion. They got a taste of division 5 level”. Odense still needs to get 3 points to secure promotion without a qualifying match and they could come in the last home game this season, when Team Traxx visits MS Park on Sunday.
