In a surprise move this evening Polomint announced the sacking of Spanish coach Vladimiro Hernand. He had been with the club since July last year and although results improved after his arrival he did not really get on with the players and, more recently, arguments over the training regimes had been reported. “We had to get to the root of the poor performances this season and the Chairman and I felt that the coaching had to improve.” explained Rustyjack at a hastily reconvened press conference after todays shock defeat to Dinamo Div. The new coach was also announced as Justus Zechepreller, the club’s 29 year old captain. “Justus has wide experience and has always shown great leadership qualities”, said Rustyjack. I have every confidence in his coaching abilities and he will still be available to play if required.
Justus Zechepreller was as surprised as anyone by the move. ” The Manager called me in to his office after we arrived back from the game this afternoon and said he would like me to take over the coaching role. He said I would still be able to play if required. I have taken my coaching badges and assumed I would have to move to another club when I retired from playing. This is a great move for me and I can’t wait to put some of my ideas into practice. We are sitting at the bottom of the league and we have to improve our performances and I will do everything in my power to help the Manager achieve that.
