01.07.2012 @ 11:40 / Legion Kolno (3rd) vs Renaissance FC (2nd)
WHO TO WATCH OUT FOR?
Coach Temmink has announced a 16 man squad which includes some former academy players, captures from our rival Golden League allies, and some fans favourites who will be known from their exploits on HU Press. Here are some possible starters from the 16:
‘Former Young Charlemagnes’ in the squad:
Zablocki, Sieniawski, Dworniczak, Ozimkowski
‘Golden League Captures’ in the squad:
Maxa, Durus
‘HU Press & Fans’ Favourites in the squad:
Celaj, Yaoning, Temmink
Most notable, Ji Yaoning is back from a nasty injury though he may not be risked from the start. Growing confidence is being shown by the manager to former Falcon Fledgling Vlad ‘The Impaler’ Maxa as he looks to make another start in the league at wing-back. With a fine away display in the 5-3 defeat to MS Odense in midweek, will Golden League Goalscorer Daniel Durus make the starting eleven or have to wait for a chance from the bench? Here is the full match build-up, brought to you by Ernst-Jan Bracke:
This Sunday, Renaissance FC return to league action away against tough opponents Legion Kolno. The home team, favouring a 3-4-3 tactic will be a difficult team to stop scoring, and Elco Temmink will have to be fully prepared tactically if any chance of 3 points coming home to Raszkow is the plan.
Already early on in the season, this is one of the crucial games as it pits Renaissance up against the team just behind them in the league. Renaissance, currently sitting in 2nd just 2 points behind CWKS Pawia, will be hoping that FC Rucocice can cause the league leaders some problems.
Rucocice drew with Renaissance in the first league game, and then drew with Renaissance’s weekend opponents in their 2nd game. If Rucocice can secure a draw against Pawia, then a Renaissance win against Kolno would take them top of the league after only 3 games, and with 2 consecutive home games coming up in the next couple of weeks against weaker opposition, the half-way point of the season will be so much nearer and a top four place looking more and more likely for the boys from Raszkow.
So the plan? A win of course, and hope that Rucocice can upset the big boys again. That would put us in 1st after 3 weeks and possibly in with a chance of being 1st after 5 games… then we will play Pawia which would be hugely significant.
