Correa adds to Inter injury woe with new setback

Inter suffered yet another injury setback during their clash with Genoa, as Joaquin Correa was forced off with a knee problem.

The Argentine forward was handed a rare start at San Siro, filling in for the injured Marcus Thuram. However, just before halftime, he went down clutching his left knee, suspected to have suffered a sprain. Despite attempting to push through, he was ultimately substituted at the break.

Correa’s Night Cut Short

Correa made way for Mehdi Taremi at the start of the second half in this Serie A Week 26 encounter.

Visibly frustrated, the 30-year-old limped off the pitch, knowing this was only his seventh Serie A appearance of the season. Despite his limited game time, the forward has still contributed with a goal and two assists.

A Crucial Stretch for Inzaghi

Simone Inzaghi faces a demanding schedule in the coming days, with a Coppa Italia quarter-final against Lazio on Tuesday, followed by a high-stakes Scudetto showdown with Napoli next Saturday. Beyond that, Inter will turn their attention to the Champions League, where they take on Feyenoord in the Round of 16 first leg on March 5.
