Borussia Dortmund running out of patience with Giovanni Reyna

Ruhr Nachrichten reports that Borussia Dortmund are losing patience with Giovanni Reyna and are expected to offload him this summer.

The club has compiled a “strike list” of players they intend to part ways with as they prepare for a much-needed squad overhaul. Among them is the USA international, whose time at Dortmund appears to be running out.

Hopes were high that Reyna’s loan spell at Nottingham Forest last season would reignite his career, but he struggled to make an impact in England. Since returning, injuries have kept him sidelined for much of the campaign, and when given opportunities, he has failed to impress. With his contract running until 2026, Dortmund are keen to find a buyer in the upcoming transfer window.

Additionally, if Dortmund fail to secure European qualification—they currently sit 11th in the Bundesliga—they may be forced to sell key players such as Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Gregor Kobel, or Karim Adeyemi to balance the books.
