During Sunday’s Bundesliga match between Eintracht Frankfurt and Holstein Kiel, a serious incident occurred when an individual fell from a middle-tier stand into the lower tier, resulting in severe injuries to two spectators, Eintracht Frankfurt confirmed in a statement.
Emergency medical personnel provided immediate treatment at the stadium before transferring the injured individuals to a hospital for further care. Additionally, two other spectators sustained minor injuries in the accident.
“We extend our heartfelt wishes for a swift recovery to everyone affected,” the club shared in a social media post on Sunday.
On the field, third-placed Frankfurt secured a 3-1 victory over bottom-ranked Holstein Kiel.
