Paris Saint-Germain have been drawn to face the formidable USL Dunkerque in the Coupe de France semi-finals, while AS Cannes will host Ligue 1’s Stade de Reims in the other match-up.
PSG, who began their Coupe de France campaign with a victory over RC Lens, have yet to face another Ligue 1 side since that first-round win. Their next challenge takes them to Dunkerque, a team that has caused a stir by eliminating Lille OSC, AJ Auxerre, and Stade Brestois to reach this stage of the competition.
On the other hand, Cannes, who recently triumphed over EA Guingamp, also made a splash by ousting Ligue 2 leaders FC Lorient. The fourth-tier side has been handed another home fixture, where they will go head-to-head with Stade de Reims. Reims earned their place in the semi-finals after a tense penalty shootout victory against SCO Angers. If Cannes manages to reach the final, they would become the first fourth-division team to do so since Calais achieved the feat in 2000.
The semi-finals are scheduled for April 1st and 2nd, with the final taking place at the Stade de France on Saturday, May 24th.
