Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Real Madrid, has given an update on the condition of star forward Kylian Mbappé after the Frenchman missed training at Valdebebas on Tuesday.
Mbappé’s absence stood out, as the rest of Real Madrid’s squad continued their recovery following a 3-0 win over Girona on Sunday. With the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg against Real Sociedad just one day away, Mbappé’s status was left uncertain.
It was later clarified that the 26-year-old missed training due to a dental issue, as he underwent a tooth extraction on Monday.
When asked about Mbappé’s condition in the pre-match press conference, Ancelotti reassured reporters, saying, “Kylian Mbappé will travel with the team, and there is a possibility he will play. He didn’t train today because of a tooth problem.”
