Potential Kean return date revealed after worrying head injury and hospitalisation

Moise Kean will miss Fiorentina’s upcoming Serie A clash against Lecce this weekend after suffering a head injury during Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Hellas Verona. The Italy international was stretchered off following a concerning incident but could make his return within the next two matches.

The former Juventus forward sustained a head blow and a deep cut after a three-way collision with two Verona defenders. Initially treated on the sidelines, Kean was briefly reintroduced to the game, only to collapse moments later in the center circle. Medical staff rushed to his aid, and he was taken off on a stretcher before being transported to the hospital, where he remained overnight for observation.

Fortunately, Kean has avoided any serious long-term issues and is expected to resume playing in the coming weeks. According to Corriere dello Sport, he will be unavailable for Fiorentina’s match against Lecce on Friday, with Lucas Beltrán likely stepping in to lead the attack.

Kean’s potential return could come against Panathinaikos in the UEFA Conference League or Napoli in Serie A shortly after. However, current reports suggest that the Napoli fixture is the more realistic target for his comeback.
